Elder James D. Lamb III was born and raised in Eastern Long Island. He attended Southampton Public Schools until he was in middle school and at that point, their family moved to Shirley, NY. Although, the Lamb family moved “out west,” he remained a member of King’s Chapel COGIC for more than 30 years, where he served in many different areas of ministry, especially music ministry under Bishop Frank A. White. It was there, where Elder Lamb received much training in his first love of leading worship, being effective in music ministry, and in the word of God. He was ordained a Deacon at the age of 18. He was licensed to preach the Gospel in July of 2015 and he was ordained an Elder in the Church of God in Church in July of 2017.
At a very young age, Elder Lamb fell in love with God and his passion for the will and way of the Lord blossomed into something remarkable which has allowed him to travel across the country sharing about the goodness of God in music and the preached word. Elder Lamb has consistently had a great desire to share the love of God and the benefits of being chosen with every race and nationality which speaks to his love to “serve.” Behind leaving his home church, he transitioned in the position of Executive Pastor at the Life Empowerment Worship Center Long Island in April 2019 under the leadership of Dr. Byron L. Preston, where he served faithfully until November 2022.
After much prayer and fasting in October of 2022, Elder Lamb founded Worshippers United Church, Inc. The Lord told him “Build me a platform and I will do the drawing.” In his obedience, Elder Lamb’s desire is that people will seek God and experience his presence in a real, authentic and unique way. With a humble spirit and a heart for God’s people Elder Lamb has been called to understand life and its struggles; Elder Lamb has a desire and is determined to share the love of God and the advantages of serving a great savior
Elder James Lamb is faithfully supported in ministry by his wife, Evangelist Adrienne Lamb and 3 children (Elijah Jared, Alexander James and Chelsea Jade Lamb), his mother, Evangelist Gail Lamb, his grandmother, Mother Dora Williams and his 2 sisters, Shericka Lamb- Dudley and Rahkeeya Mullen.
Elder Lamb memorializes this moment in time by remembering his late father, the late Deacon James D. Lamb Sr., who passed away April 4, 2020.
